About This Project

Built a fully functional guitar controller for Clone Hero by modifying open-source 3D print files from Josh Designs on Printables. The original Les Paul body was redesigned — the top half base and main body were remodelled in CAD to give it a Stratocaster silhouette instead. Mechanical keyboard switches were hand-soldered to an Arduino Uno, and a custom serial translator was programmed to convert the Arduino's serial output into keyboard inputs, allowing the game to recognise each fret button and strum bar press. The result is a responsive, custom-built controller that feels better than the original plastic Guitar Hero peripherals.
